Arts Council of Moore County: "Cloth Canvas & Clay" Exhibit

Cameron native Patricia Thomas was invited to showcase a series of paintings in the Arts Council of Moore County's (ACMC) January and February art show, "Cloth, Canvas & Clay". The exhibit, which was on display from January 6 through February 15th, featured works by Patricia, members of the Sandhills Quilters Guild, and pottery by Marge Holmquest. The ACMC hosted a well-attended opening night reception on January 6th, during which patrons were able to meet Patricia and the other featured artists, and learn more about their work. New Pieces Added to Collection

New paintings and paper works are now live on the website! Recently completed pieces include a Fish and Flower series, an untitled abstract flower series, and new works in her French collection.

Artshak Open House, Southport, NC

Patricia Thomas visited Artshak during their 21st Annual Fall Open House on November 10, 1-5pm. New pieces from her collection were added to her selection of paintings that are currently featured at Artshak.

311 Gallery "There's Still Life in Still Lifes" National Juried Show

Two works by Patricia Thomas were selected to be a part of the May 2019 There’s Still Life in Still Lifes National Juried Show at 311 Gallery in Raleigh, NC. “Eclectic Studio, Still Life #2” and “Moroccan Mirror, African Basket and Rebecca at the Well” were chosen for the show and on display through the beginning of June.

311 Gallery is in the heart of the Downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District; rated in the top Ten Best Art Districts for cities by USA Today in 2014.

Patricia Thomas: Featured Visual Artist at Caffe Driade

February 1 - February 28, 2019 Patricia Thomas was the featured Visual Artist at Caffe Driade in Chapel Hill.

An open reception was held during the “2nd Friday Art Walk”, February 9 from 6-9pm. This monthly event brings together the creative arts scene in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro communities with live music, food, activities and art-related entertainment as downtown businesses open their doors.

"Reflections of Africa"

This multi-venue series features art exhibits that explore the relationships between the African people, cultures of Africa and its wildlife. Patricia Thomas will showcase a series from her Africa-inspired collection. Other featured artists include South African artist Garth Swift, Kenyan naturalist Joseph Koyie and Sandhills artist Jessie Mackay.

Following her second winter retreat in Chapel Hill, Patricia Thomas hosted family and friends at her artist residence for a private viewing of recently completed works. Guests enjoyed a beautiful Chapel Hill day, a sampling of artwork and time with the artist before her return to Quebec City, Canada.
